Exclusive Interview: From Manual Labor to Automation - KONBRIT Helps Achieve Profit Doubling
Interview Time: January 30, 2026 Interview Location: Zhengzhou, China Interviewer: Ma Haichen (Founder of KONBRIT, Interviewer) Interviewee: Mr. Arif Sutanto (Founder of a Southeast Asian food processing enterprise, KONBRIT overseas customer)
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): Hello, Mr. Arif. Thank you for accepting this interview. As a food processing enterprise rooted in Southeast Asia, what made you insist on manual production in the early stage?
Arif Sutanto: First of all, thank you for inviting me to this interview. Our factory has always focused on product quality and taste. Manual production can better ensure the authenticity and uniqueness of the products. Although the efficiency is low and the labor cost is high, we have been adhering to manual production to ensure that the products meet the taste needs of local consumers. This is the core reason why we insisted on manual operation in the early stage.
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): We learned that you have now introduced KONBRIT’s automated equipment. What changes has this brought to your factory?
Arif Sutanto: The changes are very obvious. Previously, we needed more than 30 workers to complete the production tasks, but now only 5 technical personnel are needed to monitor the equipment operation. The production efficiency has been greatly improved, and the production capacity has been doubled compared with before. More importantly, the labor cost has been significantly reduced, and the profit margin of the factory has increased from the original 8% to 16%, which has truly achieved healthy and sustainable development.
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): You once mentioned that you were worried about the taste and quality of machine-made products. Has this problem been solved now?
Arif Sutanto: Completely solved. The KONBRIT KB-80 equipment can flexibly adjust the dough thickness and filling dosage, and the produced dumplings have the same taste as hand-made ones. There is no difference in taste, and the shape is more standardized. We no longer have to worry about the inconsistency of product quality caused by manual operation.
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): How do you evaluate KONBRIT’s equipment quality and service?
Arif Sutanto: The quality of KONBRIT’s equipment is very reliable. The machine operates stably and has a low failure rate, which fully meets the long-term production needs of our factory. In terms of service, the KONBRIT team has provided us with professional technical guidance and after-sales support. Even for overseas customers like us, they can respond in a timely manner, which makes us very assured.
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): As a Southeast Asian enterprise, what do you think of China’s supply chain and manufacturing strength?
Arif Sutanto: China’s supply chain is very mature and complete, which can provide strong support for equipment production and delivery. KONBRIT’s ability to produce high-quality equipment is closely related to China’s strong manufacturing foundation. The technical level and product quality of Chinese equipment have reached the international advanced level, which is very worthy of trust.
Interviewer (Ma Haichen): Finally, do you have any suggestions for peers in the same industry?
Arif Sutanto: Automation is the inevitable trend of industry development. Choosing high-quality equipment like KONBRIT can not only improve production efficiency but also ensure product quality. It is a very correct choice for enterprises to achieve long-term development. I believe that with the support of KONBRIT’s equipment and China’s strong supply chain, more enterprises can get rid of the trouble of manual production and achieve better development.
